Suta Goswami (narrating the Purana’s teaching on yogic attainments within a Shaiva framework)
It teaches that true Shaiva practice is not for display of minor siddhis; the worshipper of the Linga seeks inner illumination and steady realization that leads the pashu (soul) toward Pati (Shiva), beyond pasha (bondage).
Shiva-tattva is implied as the source and goal of higher perfection: not transient powers, but stable luminous awareness (pratibhā) culminating in a settled state (sthiti) aligned with the Lord as Pati.
A yogic discipline of vairāgya (renunciation) toward lesser siddhis and cultivation of higher inner insight (pratibhā), emphasizing Pashupata-oriented detachment and steadiness rather than power-seeking.
