Adhyaya 79 — Bhakti-Mahima and Linga-Archana-Vidhi

सूत उवाच कथितं तथ्यम् एवात्र युष्माभिर् मुनिपुङ्गवाः तथापि श्रद्धया दृश्यः पूज्यः संभाष्य एव च
sūta uvāca kathitaṃ tathyam evātra yuṣmābhir munipuṅgavāḥ tathāpi śraddhayā dṛśyaḥ pūjyaḥ saṃbhāṣya eva ca
Disse Sūta: “Ó sábios eminentes, o que afirmastes aqui é, de fato, verdadeiro. Ainda assim, deve-se aproximar d’Ele com śraddhā: contemplá‑Lo com reverência, adorá‑Lo e dirigir‑Lhe a palavra com respeito.”
Sūta (Sūta Gosvāmin)
It teaches that correct understanding must be completed by śraddhā—seeking Shiva’s darśana, performing pūjā, and approaching the Linga with reverent speech and conduct.
Shiva is implied as Pati—the supreme Lord who is not merely known conceptually but is to be directly approached through devotional reverence, indicating transcendence accessible by grace and right attitude.
