Adhyaya 71: पुरत्रयवृत्तान्तः—ब्रह्मवरदानम्, मयकृतत्रिपुर-निर्माणम्, विष्णुमाया-धर्मविघ्नः, शिवस्तुति, त्रिपुरदाहोपक्रमः

सेन्द्राः संगम्य देवेशम् उपेन्द्रं धिष्ठिता भयात् तान्दृष्ट्वा चिन्तयामास भगवान्पुरुषोत्तमः
Transliteration
sendrāḥ saṃgamya deveśam upendraṃ dhiṣṭhitā bhayāt tāndṛṣṭvā cintayāmāsa bhagavānpuruṣottamaḥ
Translation
Com Indra, os deuses reuniram-se e, por medo, buscaram refúgio em Upendra, Senhor dos Devas. Vendo-os assim, o Bem-aventurado Puruṣottama (Viṣṇu) começou a ponderar: como sanar sua aflição de acordo com o dharma supremo e com a vontade do Senhor supremo (Pati).
