Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्
आकाशेनावृतो वायुः खं तु भूतादिनावृतम् भूतादिर्महता चापि अव्यक्तेनावृतो महान्
ākāśenāvṛto vāyuḥ khaṃ tu bhūtādināvṛtam bhūtādirmahatā cāpi avyaktenāvṛto mahān
O ar é envolvido pelo éter (ākāśa); e o éter é envolvido por bhūtādi, o princípio elemental primordial. Bhūtādi, por sua vez, é envolvido por Mahat; e Mahat é envolvido por Avyakta, o Inmanifesto—o sutil fundamento causal de onde o cosmos manifesto surge e para onde recolhe na dissolução, sob o governo de Pati (Śiva).
