Suta Goswami (narrating genealogical tradition to the sages at Naimisharanya)
This verse situates human dynasties within the Purana’s sacred history, implying that righteous lineages and their fame are upheld when aligned with Shiva-dharma, which culminates in devotion to Pati (Shiva) through worship and right conduct.
Indirectly: by praising “godlike” excellence arising in a lineage, the text reflects a Shaiva view that all splendor (tejas) and greatness ultimately depend on Pati’s anugraha (grace), even when the verse is framed as genealogy rather than explicit theology.
No specific puja-vidhi or Pāśupata-yoga technique is stated in this verse; it functions as dynastic narration that supports the broader Shaiva framework in which dharma and devotion to Shiva lead to fame, tejas, and stability of social order.
