Shloka 19

दारुवनलीला—नीललोहितपरीक्षा, ब्रह्मोपदेशः, अतिथिधर्मः, संन्यासक्रमः

अन्योन्यं सस्मितं प्रेक्ष्य चालिलिङ्गुः समन्ततः निरुध्य मार्गं रुद्रस्य नैपुणानि प्रचक्रिरे

anyonyaṃ sasmitaṃ prekṣya cāliliṅguḥ samantataḥ nirudhya mārgaṃ rudrasya naipuṇāni pracakrire

Sorrindo e trocando olhares, moveram-se por todos os lados; bloqueando o caminho de Rudra, puseram em ação diversas estratagemas engenhosas—mas tudo isso se dava dentro da própria līlā do Senhor, pois somente Pati (Śiva) permanece sem amarras, enquanto os paśu agem sob o pāśa.

Shiva-tattva is shown as unconstrained and self-luminous: others may attempt to restrain His ‘path,’ but their actions occur within His lila, while He remains beyond pasha (bondage).
