Dāna-dharma: Types of Charity, Worthy Recipients, Vrata-Timings, and Śiva–Viṣṇu Propitiation

धान्यान्यपि यथाशक्ति विप्रेषु प्रतिपादयेत् / वेदवित्सु विशिष्टेषु प्रेत्य स्वर्गं समश्नुते

dhānyānyapi yathāśakti vipreṣu pratipādayet / vedavitsu viśiṣṭeṣu pretya svargaṃ samaśnute

Conforme a própria capacidade, deve-se oferecer grãos em dádiva aos sábios brâmanes—especialmente aos distintos conhecedores do Veda; após a morte, alcança-se o céu.
