Aśauca-vidhi — Rules of Birth/Death Impurity, Sapinda Circles, and Śrāddha Sequence
सद्यः शौचं सपिण्डानां कर्तव्यं सोदरस्य च / ऊर्ध्वं दशाहादेकाहं सोदरो यदि निर्गुणः
sadyaḥ śaucaṃ sapiṇḍānāṃ kartavyaṃ sodarasya ca / ūrdhvaṃ daśāhādekāhaṃ sodaro yadi nirguṇaḥ
Para os sapinda (parentes de sangue no círculo das oferendas fúnebres) e também para um irmão pleno, a purificação deve ser feita imediatamente. Porém, após o período de dez dias, se o irmão for ‘nirguṇa’ (sem direito/sem qualificação para os ritos completos), aplica-se apenas um dia de impureza.
