Portents at the Birth of Diti’s Sons and Hiraṇyākṣa Challenges Varuṇa
ततो निवृत्त: क्रीडिष्यन् गम्भीरं भीमनिस्वनम् । विजगाहे महासत्त्वो वार्धिं मत्त इव द्विप: ॥ २४ ॥
tato nivṛttaḥ krīḍiṣyan gambhīraṁ bhīma-nisvanam vijagāhe mahā-sattvo vārdhiṁ matta iva dvipaḥ
Então, após retornar do reino celestial, o poderoso demônio, por divertimento, mergulhou no oceano profundo que rugia com som terrível, como um elefante enlouquecido de ira.
