Nārāyaṇa-kavaca — The Armor of Lord Nārāyaṇa
A person highly elevated in spiritual knowledge knows that nothing exists but the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is also confirmed in Bhagavad-gītā (9.4) where Lord Kṛṣṇa says, mayā tatam idaṁ sarvam, indicating that everything we see is an expansion of His energy. This is confirmed in the Viṣṇu Purāṇa (1.22.52):
In this verse, the Bhagavatam teaches that Lord Hari, though one and beyond material duality, manifests many divine forms and potencies, and He can protect the devotee always and everywhere through those transcendental manifestations.
Vishvarupa instructs Indra in the Narayana-kavaca (a devotional protective prayer) so Indra may be safeguarded in battle; this verse explains the theological basis: the one omniscient Lord pervades all and protects through His many forms.
Remembering that God is present in all places and situations strengthens steadiness, reduces fear, and inspires consistent devotional practice—prayerfully seeking protection and guidance at all times.
