सांवत्सरं पुंसवनं व्रतमेतदविप्लुतम् । धारयिष्यसि चेत्तुभ्यं शक्रहा भविता सुत: ॥ ५४ ॥

Transliteration

sāṁvatsaraṁ puṁsavanaṁ vratam etad aviplutam dhārayiṣyasi cet tubhyaṁ śakra-hā bhavitā sutaḥ

Translation

Kaśyapa Muni continuou: Se realizares com fé esta cerimônia chamada puṁsavana, observando o voto sem falhas por pelo menos um ano, darás à luz um filho destinado a matar Indra. Mas, se houver alguma discrepância no cumprimento do voto, esse filho será amigo de Indra.
