Parīkṣit’s Inquiry into Vṛtrāsura’s Bhakti and the Beginning of Citraketu’s Trial
This verse shows that merely partaking of sanctified remnants can immediately bestow divine results—here, the queen conceives a radiant child—highlighting prasāda as a channel of the Lord’s grace.
The comparison emphasizes the extraordinary, luminous nature of the child: just as Kṛttikā bore Agni’s brilliant offspring, Kṛtadyuti conceives a similarly radiant son by spiritual potency.
Honor prasādam with faith and gratitude, seeing it as spiritual mercy; this cultivates devotion and invites auspicious transformation, even amid material limitations.
