Parīkṣit’s Inquiry into Vṛtrāsura’s Bhakti and the Beginning of Citraketu’s Trial
आसीद्राजा सार्वभौम: शूरसेनेषु वै नृप । चित्रकेतुरिति ख्यातो यस्यासीत्कामधुङ्मही ॥ १० ॥
āsīd rājā sārvabhaumaḥ śūraseneṣu vai nṛpa citraketur iti khyāto yasyāsīt kāmadhuṅ mahī
Ó rei Parīkṣit, na província de Śūrasena havia um rei soberano chamado Citraketu, que governava toda a terra. Em seu reinado, a terra, como Kāmadhenu, produzia tudo o que é necessário à vida.
Here the most significant statement is that the earth completely produced all the necessities of life during the time of King Citraketu. As stated in the Īśopaniṣad :
