अग्नि: सूर्यो दिवा प्राह्ण: शुक्लो राकोत्तरं स्वराट् । विश्वोऽथ तैजस: प्राज्ञस्तुर्य आत्मा समन्वयात् ॥ ५४ ॥

agniḥ sūryo divā prāhṇaḥ śuklo rākottaraṁ sva-rāṭ viśvo ’tha taijasaḥ prājñas turya ātmā samanvayāt

No caminho de ascensão, a entidade viva entra gradualmente nos mundos do fogo, do sol, do dia, do fim do dia, da quinzena clara, da lua cheia e do curso do sol rumo ao norte, juntamente com suas deidades regentes. Ao entrar em Brahmaloka, ela desfruta da vida por milhões de anos e, por fim, sua designação material chega ao fim. Então assume uma designação sutil e, a partir dela, alcança a designação causal, testemunhando todos os estados anteriores. Com a aniquilação dessa condição causal, atinge seu estado puro, no qual se identifica com a Paramātmā; assim a jīva torna-se transcendental.
