भ्रातरोऽभाङ्क्त किं मह्यं भजाम पितरं तव । त्वां ममार्यास्तताभाङ्क्षुर्मा पुत्रक तदादृथा: ॥ २ ॥
bhrātaro ’bhāṅkta kiṁ mahyaṁ bhajāma pitaraṁ tava tvāṁ mamāryās tatābhāṅkṣur mā putraka tad ādṛthāḥ
Nābhāga perguntou: “Meus irmãos, que parte me destes da herança de nosso pai?” Os mais velhos responderam: “Tua parte é o pai.” Mas quando Nābhāga foi ao pai e disse: “Meu pai, meus irmãos mais velhos te deram como minha porção”, o pai replicou: “Meu filho, não te apoies em palavras enganosas; eu não sou tua propriedade.”
