ततश्च सहदेवोऽभूत् सोमापिर्यच्छ्रुतश्रवा: । परीक्षिरनपत्योऽभूत् सुरथो नाम जाह्नव: ॥ ९ ॥
tataś ca sahadevo ’bhūt somāpir yac chrutaśravāḥ parīkṣir anapatyo ’bhūt suratho nāma jāhnavaḥ
De Jarāsandha nasceu Sahadeva; de Sahadeva, Somāpi; e de Somāpi, Śrutaśravā. Parīkṣi, filho de Kuru, não teve descendência; mas Jahnu, filho de Kuru, teve um filho chamado Suratha.
They are kings listed in the Puru dynasty genealogy; the verse notes their appearance in succession and specifically mentions that Parīkṣi was childless.
