सहस्रशिरस: पुंसो नाभिह्रदसरोरुहात् । जातस्यासीत् सुतो धातुरत्रि: पितृसमो गुणै: ॥ २ ॥

Transliteration

sahasra-śirasaḥ puṁso nābhi-hrada-saroruhāt jātasyāsīt suto dhātur atriḥ pitṛ-samo guṇaiḥ

Translation

Viṣṇu, o Puruṣa de mil cabeças, fez brotar do lago de seu umbigo uma flor de lótus; sobre essa flor nasceu Dhātā Brahmā. Atri, filho de Brahmā, era em qualidades igual ao pai.
