बध्यमानं हतारातिं पाशैर्वारुणमानुषै: । वारयामास गोविन्दस्तेन कार्यचिकीर्षया ॥ ३१ ॥

Transliteration

badhyamānaṁ hatārātiṁ pāśair vāruṇa-mānuṣaiḥ vārayām āsa govindas tena kārya-cikīrṣayā

Translation

Com o laço divino de Varuna e outras cordas mortais, Balarama começou a amarrar Jarasandha, que havia matado tantos inimigos. Mas o Senhor Govinda ainda tinha um propósito a cumprir através de Jarasandha, e assim Ele pediu a Balarama que parasse.
