This verse describes the Vraja women blessing the newborn Kṛṣṇa, performing auspicious sprinkling with turmeric-oil and other substances, and singing joyful songs—showing Janma-utsava as devotion expressed through loving care and celebration.
In the narrative of Kṛṣṇa’s birth celebrations at Nanda’s home, the women naturally express maternal affection and invoke protection for the baby, performing traditional auspicious rites while unknowingly serving the Supreme Lord in intimate Vraja-bhakti.
It encourages devotees to express bhakti through sincere blessings, kīrtana, and sanctifying home rituals—making spiritual celebration and loving service central to family and community life.
