तमाह भगवान्प्रेष्ठं भक्तमेकान्तिनं क्व‍‍चित् । गृहीत्वा पाणिना पाणिं प्रपन्नार्तिहरो हरि: ॥ २ ॥

Transliteration

tam āha bhagavān preṣṭhaṁ bhaktam ekāntinaṁ kvacit gṛhītvā pāṇinā pāṇiṁ prapannārti-haro hariḥ

Translation

Certa vez, o Senhor Hari, que remove a aflição dos que se rendem a Ele, tomou a mão de Uddhava, seu devoto de entrega exclusiva e o mais querido, e falou-lhe assim.
