The Vraja Elders Question Kṛṣṇa’s Identity; Nanda Recounts Garga’s Prophecy
हिन्वतोऽध: शयानस्य मास्यस्य चरणावुदक् । अनोऽपतद् विपर्यस्तं रुदत: प्रपदाहतम् ॥ ५ ॥
hinvato ’dhaḥ śayānasya māsyasya caraṇāv udak ano ’patad viparyastaṁ rudataḥ prapadāhatam
Certa vez, quando tinha apenas três meses, o pequeno Kṛṣṇa estava deitado sob uma enorme carroça, chorando e chutando os pés; então a carroça caiu e virou de cabeça para baixo, apenas por ter sido tocada pela ponta do seu dedo do pé.
Śukadeva describes the cart’s movement in the Yamunā episode, where the cart-wheel strikes a fish lying below in the water, indicating the dramatic conditions around the vortex and the danger near the river.
