Pṛthu Mahārāja Milks the Earth (Bhūmi-dugdha) and Organizes Human Settlement
ततो महीपति: प्रीत: सर्वकामदुघां पृथु: । दुहितृत्वे चकारेमां प्रेम्णा दुहितृवत्सल: ॥ २८ ॥
tato mahīpatiḥ prītaḥ sarva-kāma-dughāṁ pṛthuḥ duhitṛtve cakāremāṁ premṇā duhitṛ-vatsalaḥ
Depois disso, o rei Pṛthu ficou muito satisfeito com a Terra, pois ela supria abundantemente o alimento de todos os seres e revelou-se como a vaca que concede todos os desejos. Pṛthu, afetuoso como um pai para com a filha, passou a amá-la como se fosse sua própria filha.
