Prelude to Pṛthu

तथा साधय भद्रं ते आत्मानं सुप्रजं नृप । इष्टस्ते पुत्रकामस्य पुत्रं दास्यति यज्ञभुक् ॥ ३२ ॥

tathā sādhaya bhadraṁ te ātmānaṁ suprajaṁ nṛpa iṣṭas te putra-kāmasya putraṁ dāsyati yajña-bhuk

Portanto, ó rei, que a boa fortuna te acompanhe. Toma logo os meios para obter um filho virtuoso. Se realizares o sacrifício com o desejo de um filho, o Senhor Supremo, desfrutador do yajña, ficará satisfeito e te concederá um filho.
