Sukta 1
या त इन्द्र तनूरप्सु या पृथिव्यां यान्तरग्नौ या त इन्द्र पवमाने स्वर्विदि । ययेन्द्र तन्वा३ऽन्तरिक्षं व्यापिथ तया न इन्द्र तन्वा३शर्म यच्छ तवेद् विष्णो बहुधा वीर्याऽणि । त्वं नः पृणीहि पशुभिर्विश्वरूपैः सुधायां मा धेहि परमे व्योऽमन्
yā́ te indra tanū́r apsú yā́ pṛthivyā́ṃ yā́ntár agnáu yā́ te indra pávamāne svárvidi | yayéndra tanvā̀ntárikṣaṃ vyāpítha táyā na indra tanvā̀ śárma yaccha | tavéd víṣṇo bahudhā́ vīryā̀ṇi | tváṃ naḥ pṛṇīhi paśúbhir viśvárūpaiḥ sudhā́yāṃ mā dhehi paramé vyòman
That form of thine, O Indra, which is in the waters, which is upon earth, which is within the fire; that which is thine, O Indra, in the purifying Soma, heaven-winning; wherewith, O Indra, with thy presence thou hast pervaded the mid-air—with that same presence, O Indra, grant us shelter. Thine indeed, O Vishnu, are heroic powers in manifold wise. Do thou fill us with cattle of every form; set me in good estate, in the highest firmament.
Ó Indra, essa forma tua que está nas águas, que está sobre a terra, que está dentro do fogo; essa que é tua, ó Indra, no Soma que se purifica, conquistador do céu. Com essa mesma presença/potência, ó Indra, com a qual permeaste o espaço intermédio, — com ela, ó Indra, concede-nos abrigo e proteção. De fato, ó Vishnu, são múltiplos os teus feitos heroicos. Enche-nos de gado de todas as formas; estabelece-me em boa condição, no firmamento mais alto.
