FAQs

It prescribes a precise pūjā-sequence and offering protocol: first worship Vināyaka’s mother, then Ambikā, presenting arghya measured as a full añjali containing dūrvā grass, mustard seeds, and flowers.

It exemplifies the Purana’s manual-like coverage of practical religion—detailing materials (dūrvā, sarṣapa, puṣpa), ritual measure (pūrṇāñjali), and order of worship—alongside its broader teachings on theology, dharma, and sacred rites.

Offering arghya with auspicious items to Ambikā after honoring Vināyaka’s maternal principle is a reverential act meant to secure divine favor, remove obstacles, and accrue puṇya through correct, respectful observance.
