FAQs

It teaches a śuddhi-vidhi: perform udvartana (rubbing/unction) using pañcagavya mixed with śaktu, then take a purificatory bath, and complete the rite by worshiping Viṣṇu in the mandala’s central karṇikā while honoring a brāhmaṇa.

In a single instruction it integrates ritual purification (pañcagavya snāna), a technical mandala-layout detail (karṇikā as the center), deity-arcana (Viṣṇu worship), and social-religious duty (honoring a brāhmaṇa), illustrating the text’s breadth across practical ritual, diagrammatic worship, and dharmic conduct.

The act combines bodily and ritual purity (snāna with pañcagavya), focused devotion through mandala-centered worship of Viṣṇu, and merit through honoring a brāhmaṇa—together functioning as a purificatory observance that supports auspiciousness and the removal of ritual impurity.
