FAQs

It prescribes a specific homa-prayoga for attaining brahma-varcas, including the use of a ritual cloth (upper garment) and oblations made with ashes of chaff and thorns in Praty-aṅgirasa-directed rites.

It exemplifies the text’s practical, manual-like coverage of specialized ritual operations (prayogas)—detailing materials, target deities/classes (Praty-aṅgirasa), and desired outcomes (brahma-varcas), alongside its many other domains.

The verse frames brahma-varcas as an attainable merit through disciplined fire-offering and prescribed observances, implying purification and enhancement of sacred efficacy (tejas) via correctly targeted homa.
