सौगन्धिकोत्था काषाया मुक्ताफलास्तु शुक्तिजाः विमलास्तेभ्य उत्कृष्टा ये च शङ्खोद्भवा मुने

saugandhikotthā kāṣāyā muktāphalāstu śuktijāḥ vimalāstebhya utkṛṣṭā ye ca śaṅkhodbhavā mune

As pérolas (muktāphala) oriundas da fonte saugandhika são de tom castanho-amarelado; contudo, as pérolas também se formam na śukti (concha de ostra). As que são límpidas são superiores às demais; e, ó muni, as mais excelentes dizem nascer da śaṅkha (concha de búzio).
