Characteristics of a Woman

इत्य् आग्नेये महापुराणे पुरुषलक्षणं नाम द्विचत्वारिंशदधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः अथ त्रिचत्वारिंशदधिकद्विशततमो ऽध्यायः स्त्रीलक्षणं समुद्र उवाच शस्ता स्त्री चारुसर्वाङ्गी मत्तमातङ्गगामिनी गुरूरुजघना या च मत्तपारावतेक्षणा

ity āgneye mahāpurāṇe puruṣalakṣaṇaṃ nāma dvicatvāriṃśadadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ atha tricatvāriṃśadadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ strīlakṣaṇaṃ samudra uvāca śastā strī cārusarvāṅgī mattamātaṅgagāminī gurūrujaghanā yā ca mattapārāvatekṣaṇā

Assim, no Agni Mahāpurāṇa, encerra-se o capítulo ducentésimo quadragésimo segundo, intitulado “Características do Homem (Puruṣa-lakṣaṇa)”. Agora começa o capítulo ducentésimo quadragésimo terceiro, “Características da Mulher (Strī-lakṣaṇa)”. Disse Samudra: “É louvável a mulher cujos membros são graciosos em todas as partes, cuja marcha é como a de uma elefanta embriagada, cujas coxas e quadris são cheios e pesados, e cujos olhos são como os de uma pomba embriagada.”
