Chapter 299 — ग्रहहृन्मन्त्रादिकम्

Grahahṛn-Mantras and Allied Procedures

खकारौ दण्डिनौ चण्डौ मज्जा दशनसंयुता मांसदीर्घा जरद्वायुहृदैतत् सर्वदं रवेः

khakārau daṇḍinau caṇḍau majjā daśanasaṃyutā māṃsadīrghā jaradvāyuhṛdaitat sarvadaṃ raveḥ

Para Ravi (o Sol), a sílaba ‘kha’ possui duas formas—‘daṇḍin’ e ‘caṇḍa’. Ela se associa à medula e aos dentes; fortalece a carne e prolonga a firmeza da vitalidade; vence os distúrbios de vāta (vento) da velhice e sustenta o coração—assim, é a que tudo concede para Ravi.
