Bhū-parigraha-vidhāna: Procedure for Acquiring and Ritually Securing Land

O homem sábio deve mandar construir outro edifício (novo) e não causar aflição a nenhuma das duas partes. Somente quando o solo tiver sido purificado é que se deve proceder à tomada formal de posse da terra.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 39 (site preparation and construction conduct); Agni Purana ritual sections on purification (śodhana)
It teaches Vāstu-śāstra procedure: purify the site (bhūmi-śodhana) first, then perform formal land-taking (bhūmi-parigraha), and proceed with construction without harming or troubling either party.
By giving practical civil-architectural guidance—ethical construction conduct and the technical sequence of site purification and acquisition—the Agni Purana functions as a manual not only of devotion but also of applied disciplines like Vāstu and social conduct.
Purifying the land before taking possession frames construction as a ritually clean act, while avoiding harm to “both” emphasizes dharmic, non-injurious action that prevents negative karma associated with wrongful acquisition or oppressive building practices.
