FAQs

It provides a prayoga-style dedication line used at the conclusion or offering-point of the sāṃvatsarī (annual) Vaiṣṇava worship, explicitly addressing Viṣṇu as Garuḍadhvaja and invoking His iconic insignia (Vanamālā and Kaustubha).

It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s manual-like compilation of practical liturgical wording (mantra/stuti usage) within broader chapters on worship procedure, showing that the text functions not only as narrative Purāṇa but also as a ritual handbook.

By formally dedicating the annual rite to Viṣṇu and contemplating His sacred emblems, the worshipper anchors devotion (bhakti) and gains merit (puṇya) through focused remembrance and correct ritual intention (saṅkalpa/arpana-bhāva).
