«Oṃ hrūṃ haḥ phaṭ hrūṃ»—eu dissolvo (recolho) a essência sutil da forma (rūpa-tanmātra); reverência. «Oṃ hrūṃ haḥ phaṭ hrūṃ»—eu dissolvo a essência sutil do tato (sparśa-tanmātra); reverência. «Oṃ hrūṃ haḥ phaṭ hrūṃ»—eu dissolvo a essência sutil do som (śabda-tanmātra); reverência.

It teaches a Bhūta-śuddhi/Tantra practice: using specific mantras (with hrūṃ, haḥ, phaṭ) to ritually withdraw the tanmātras of sound, touch, and form, and then to visualize a red, triangular Agni-maṇḍala marked with a svastika in the inner body region.
Alongside mythology, the Agni Purāṇa preserves precise ritual-technical material—mantra-usage, subtle-element theory (tanmātras), and mandala visualization—showing its role as a compendium of practical spiritual technologies, not only narrative religion.
The withdrawal of tanmātras symbolizes purification and interiorization of the senses, culminating in stabilizing awareness in the inner Agni principle; it is framed as a cleansing step that supports concentration, ritual efficacy, and inner sanctification.
