The Procedure of Mārjana / Purificatory Sprinkling

Related Themes: Agni Purana 31 (viṣa-śamana and rakṣā formulas)
It teaches viṣa-śānti (pacification of poison): venom from spiders and similar sources is to be neutralized through the devotional invocation/recitation of Janārdana (Viṣṇu).
Alongside theology, it preserves practical healing-and-protection material—linking bodily afflictions (poison/venom) with applied recitation practices—showing the text’s coverage of medicine, ritual, and everyday hazards.
The verse frames relief from suffering as arising from nāma-kīrtana/stotra (invocation) of Viṣṇu, implying purification and divine protection that alleviates harmful karmic or environmental afflictions.
