भूर्लोकः पादयोस्तस्य भुवर्लोकस्तु जानुनि । सुवर्लोकः कटीदेशे नाभिदेशे महर्जगत् ॥३॥

भूः-लोकः । पादयोः । तस्य । भुवः-लोकः । तु । जानुनि । सुवः-लोकः । कटी-देशे । नाभि-देशे । महः-जगत् ।

IAST Transliteration

bhūrlokaḥ pādayos tasya bhuvarlokas tu jānuni | suvarlokaḥ kaṭīdeśe nābhideśe maharjagat ||3||

Translation

ਭੂਰਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ; ਭੁਵਰਲੋਕ ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਘੁੱਟਣਾਂ (ਜਾਨੂ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਸੁਵਰਲੋਕ ਕਮਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਨਾਭੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਰਲੋਕ (ਮਹਰਜਗਤ) ਹੈ।

Academic Translation

The Bhūr-world is at its feet; the Bhuvar-world, indeed, at its knees. The Suvar-world is in the region of its hips; in the region of the navel is the Mahas-world.
