Kalagnirudra

यास्य तृतीया रेखा साहवनीयो मकारस्तमो द्यौर्लोकः परमात्मा ज्ञानशक्तिः सामवेदस्तृतीयसवनं महादेवो देवतेति॥८॥

या । अस्य । तृतीया । रेखा । सा । आहवनीयः । मकारः । तमः । द्यौः-लोकः । परम-आत्मा । ज्ञान-शक्तिः । साम-वेदः । तृतीय-सवनम् । महादेवः । देवता । इति ॥८॥

yā asya tṛtīyā rekhā sāhavanīyo makāras tamo dyauḥ-lokaḥ paramātmā jñāna-śaktiḥ sāma-vedas tṛtīya-savanaṃ mahādevo devateti ||8||

ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਰੇਖਾ ਹੈ—ਉਹ ਆਹਵਨੀਯ ਅਗ੍ਨਿ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ‘ਮ’ ਅੱਖਰ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਤਮਸ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਦ੍ਯੌਲੋਕ (ਸਵਰਗ ਲੋਕ) ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਗਿਆਨ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਾਮਵੇਦ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਯ ਸਵਨ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਵਤਾ ਮਹਾਦੇਵ ਹੈ—ਇਉਂ ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੈ॥੮॥

That which is its third line—this is the Āhavanīya fire; it is the syllable M; it is tamas; it is the heaven-world (dyu-loka); it is the supreme Self; it is the power of knowledge (jñāna-śakti). It is the Sāmaveda; it is the third pressing (tṛtīya-savana); and its deity is Mahādeva—so (it is declared).
