अथोवाच ये साङ्ख्यादितत्त्वभेदास्तेभ्यो नमो वर्तध्वं विरोधेऽनुवर्तध्वम्॥११॥

अथ । उवाच । ये । साङ्ख्य-आदि-तत्त्व-भेदाः । तेभ्यः । नमः । वर्तध्वम् । विरोधे । अनुवर्तध्वम् ॥

IAST Transliteration

athovāca ye sāṅkhyādi-tattva-bhedās tebhyo namaḥ vartadhvaṃ virodhe ’nuvartadhvam ||11||

Translation

ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ—ਸਾਂਖ੍ਯ ਆਦਿ ਤੱਤ੍ਵ-ਭੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕੇ ਰਹੋ; ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਅਨੁਵਰਤਨ ਕਰੋ, ਝਗੜਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ॥੧੧॥

Academic Translation

Then he said: ‘To those who propound distinctions of principles—such as the Sāṅkhyas—salutation. Abide (in your own ways); in opposition, conform (i.e., do not contend).’
