प्रह्लाद उवाच । पूर्वं हि देवराजेन बृहस्पतिरुदारधीः । प्रणम्य परया भक्त्या पृष्टश्च स महामतिः
prahlāda uvāca | pūrvaṃ hi devarājena bṛhaspatirudāradhīḥ | praṇamya parayā bhaktyā pṛṣṭaśca sa mahāmatiḥ
ਪ੍ਰਹਲਾਦ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ: ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੇਵਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਉਦਾਰ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਹਸਪਤੀ—ਉਸ ਮਹਾਮਤੀ—ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮ ਭਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ।
