taddine ye prakurvaṃti samyagvedhena śobhitam | saśalyaṃ tanna saṃdehaḥ pretatvaṃ yāti tena ca
Sūta (deduced)
Tirtha: Dvārakā (Hari’s sacred day observance)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A devotee performs a rite under an inauspicious calendrical mark (symbolic ‘thorn’), while a learned priest points to a pañcāṅga showing vedha; a shadowy preta-form looms as a cautionary vision.
Rituals must be done with correct sacred timing; negligence in tithi rules is treated as a serious dharmic fault.
The teaching occurs within Dvārakā Māhātmya, connecting dharma to the sanctity of Dvārakā and Hari’s worship.
Avoid performing rites when the tithi is improperly ‘pierced/overlapped’ (vedha) in a way deemed दोष (fault), as it taints the rite.
