तद्गच्छ तत्र प्रीतात्मा वासुदेवाय कन्यकाम् । बलदेवाय देहि त्वमिमां स्वतनयां नृप

Though the verse is about a royal decision, the Shiva Purana repeatedly frames worldly duties as offerings when aligned with dharma; such steadiness of conduct supports saguna-bhakti and ritual life (including Liṅga worship) by cultivating sattva, humility, and surrender.
No specific rite like rudrākṣa, bhasma, or mantra is directly prescribed in this line; the practical takeaway is to act with prīta-ātmā (a calm, content mind), which complements daily Śiva-upāsanā such as japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and disciplined vrata observance.
