उपमन्युकुमारस्य क्षीरार्थ-प्रार्थना तथा शिवप्रसाद-निबन्धनम् | Upamanyu’s Longing for Milk and the Doctrine of Shiva’s Grace
मद्भक्तो भव विप्रर्षे मामेवार्चय सर्वदा । ददामि सर्वं भद्रन्ते त्यज रुद्रं च निर्गुणम्
madbhakto bhava viprarṣe māmevārcaya sarvadā | dadāmi sarvaṃ bhadrante tyaja rudraṃ ca nirguṇam
ਹੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ-ਰਿਸ਼ੀ! ਮੇਰਾ ਭਗਤ ਬਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਕੇਵਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਭਦ੍ਰ! ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹਾਂ; ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰੁਦ੍ਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਮੰਨਣ ਦੀ ਧਾਰਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਗੁਣ, ਉਪਾਸਯ ਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰ।
