Brāhmaṇī-Svargati-Varṇana: Account of a Brāhmaṇa Woman’s Ascent to Heaven

सूत उवाच । एवं वचस्तदा श्रुत्वा द्विजेनोक्तं यथातथम् । पुनश्चायं द्विजस्तत्र स्त्रियोक्तः स्थीयतां त्वया

sūta uvāca | evaṃ vacastadā śrutvā dvijenoktaṃ yathātatham | punaścāyaṃ dvijastatra striyoktaḥ sthīyatāṃ tvayā

ਸੂਤ ਜੀ ਬੋਲੇ—ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦਵਿਜ ਨੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੀ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਕਹਿ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਉਸ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਖਿਆ—“ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਟਿਕ।”
