Agni as the sacrificial forerunner who opens the rite, framed by cosmic illumination and Indra’s paradigm of releasing prosperity
त्वमिमा ओषधीः सोम विश्वास्त्वमपो अजनयस्त्वं गाः त्वमातनोरुर्वा3न्तरिक्षं त्वं ज्योतिषा वि तमो ववर्थ
tvamimā oṣadhīḥ soma viśvāstvamapo ajanayastvaṃ gāḥ tvamātanorurvā3ntarikṣaṃ tvaṃ jyotiṣā vi tamo vavartha

ਹੇ ਸੋਮ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਔਸ਼ਧੀਆਂ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਅਪਃ—ਜਲ—ਜਨਾਏ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਗਾਃ—ਗਾਂਵਾਂ—(ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ); ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਰੁ ਅੰਤਰિક્ષ—ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਆਕਾਸ਼-ਮੰਡਲ—ਤਾਣਿਆ; ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਜ੍ਯੋਤਿਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਤਮਸ—ਅੰਧਕਾਰ—ਦੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
