एवमुक्तो हरिश्रेष्ठस्तदा रक्षोगणेश्वरम्।।5.50.12।।अब्रवीन्नास्मि शक्रस्य यमस्य वरुणस्य वा।धनदेन न मे सख्यं विष्णुना नास्मि चोदितः।।5.50.13।।जातिरेव मम त्वेषा वानरोऽहमिहागतः।
evam ukto hariśreṣṭhas tadā rakṣogaṇeśvaram || 5.50.12 ||
abravīn nāsmi śakrasya yamasya varuṇasya vā |
dhanadena na me sakhyaṃ viṣṇunā nāsmi coditaḥ || 5.50.13 ||
jātir eva mama tv eṣā vānaro ’ham ihāgataḥ |
ਇਉਂ ਕਹੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੇ ਵਾਨਰਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਹਨੁਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਰਾਖਸ਼-ਗਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਸ਼ਵਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ: “ਮੈਂ ਇੰਦਰ ਦਾ, ਯਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਂ ਵਰੁਣ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਨਹੀਂ; ਕੁਬੇਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਖ਼ੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਨੂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵਾਨਰ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ।”
