वैवाहिकसंबन्ध
निश्चयः / Fixing the Mithila–Ayodhya Marital Alliance
स गत्वा निलयं राजा श्राद्धं कृत्वा विधानत:।प्रभाते काल्यमुत्थाय चक्रे गोदानमुत्तमम्।।।।
sa gatvā nilayaṃ rājā śrāddhaṃ kṛtvā vidhānataḥ | prabhāte kālyam utthāya cakre godānam uttamam ||
ਫਿਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸ਼੍ਰਾਦ੍ਹ ਕੀਤਾ; ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਯੋਗ ਸਮੇਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਗੋਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
For the welfare of each of his sons the king (Dasaratha) religiously gave away a hundred thousand cows to brahmins.
