The Descent of the Gaṅgā and Bhagiratha’s Fulfilment
अनेन तोषितश्चाभूदत्यर्थं रघुनन्दन।।।।विससर्ज ततो गङ्गां हरो बिन्दुसर: प्रति।
anena toṣitaś cābhūd atyarthaṃ raghunandana |
visasarja tato gaṅgāṃ haro bindusaraḥ prati || 1.43.10 ||
ਹੇ ਰਘੁਨੰਦਨ, ਇਸ ਤਪੱਸਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਿਵ ਜੀ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਏ; ਫਿਰ ਹਰ ਨੇ ਗੰਗਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਬਿੰਦੁਸਰੋਵਰ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
