सगरपुत्राणां रसातलगमनम्

पृथिव्याश्चापि निर्भेदोऽदृष्ट एव सनातन:।।।।सगरस्य च पुत्राणां विनाशोऽदीर्घजीविनाम्।
pṛthivyāś cāpi nirbhedo ’dṛṣṭa eva sanātanaḥ | sagarasya ca putrāṇāṃ vināśo ’dīrghajīvinām |
ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਚੀਰਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਵੀ ਅਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਦੈਵ-ਵਿਧਾਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਿਯਤ ਸੀ; ਅਤੇ ਲੰਬੀ ਉਮਰ ਲਈ ਨਿਯਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਏ ਸਗਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਵੀ ਓਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਸੀ।
