द्वितीयः सर्गः — श्लोकप्रादुर्भावः
The Manifestation of the Śloka
पूजयामास तं देवं पाद्यार्घ्यासनवन्दनै: ।प्रणम्य विधिवच्चैनं पृष्ट्वाऽनामयमव्ययम् ।।1.2.25।।
pūjayāmāsa taṃ devaṃ pādyārghyāsanavandanaiḥ | praṇamya vidhivac cainaṃ pṛṣṭvā ’nāmayam avyayam ||1.2.25||
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਵ ਦਾ ਪਾਦ੍ਯ, ਅਰ੍ਘ੍ਯ, ਆਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਵੰਦਨ ਆਦਿ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਧੀਪੂਰਵਕ ਪੂਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ; ਨਿਯਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਅਵ੍ਯਯ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਖੈਰ-ਖ਼ਬਰ ਪੁੱਛੀ।
Bowing with reverence as enjoined by tradition and having enquired of his well being,Valmiki worshipped the immutable Brahma by falling at his feet and welcoming him with a seat and water to wash his feet with.
