Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
नाषडङ्गविदत्रासीन्नाव्रतो नाबहुश्रुत:।सदस्यास्तस्य वै राज्ञो नावादकुशला द्विजा:।।।।
nāṣaḍaṅgavid atrāsīn nāvrato nābahuśrutaḥ |
sadasyās tasya vai rājño nāvādakuśalā dvijāḥ ||
ਉਸ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਯਜ੍ਞ-ਮੰਡਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਐਸਾ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਰਿਤ੍ਵਿਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਛਡੰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਣਜਾਣ, ਵ੍ਰਤ-ਭੰਗੀ, ਅਲਪ-ਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ ਜਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰਾਰਥ-ਵਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕੁਸ਼ਲ ਹੋਵੇ; ਰਾਜ-ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਦ੍ਵਿਜ ਸਭ ਨਿਪੁਣ ਸਨ।
