Bringing Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Aṅga and His Marriage to Śāntā
तत्र चानीयमाने तु विप्रे तस्मिन्महात्मनि।ववर्ष सहसा देवो जगत्प्रह्लादयंस्तदा।।।।
tatra cānīyamāne tu vipre tasmin mahātmani |
vavarṣa sahasā devo jagat prahlādayaṃs tadā ||
ਉੱਥੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤਦੋਂ ਜਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਰਖਾ-ਦੇਵ ਨੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਾਂ ਵਰਸਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
He gave that Indra among the brahmins offerings righteously with unstinted devotion and asked for his favour that he should not incur the wrath of the sage (his father Vibhandaka for having brought him to Anga).
It affirms that genuine spiritual merit (tapas) supports the welfare of the world—dharma bears tangible fruits for society.
The drought breaks the moment Ṛśyaśṛṅga is brought toward Aṅga, signaling his auspicious power.
